| Karen Gardner, BFA, Nationally Certified LMT, has a private clinical
practice that includes both horses and humans. She has worked as an equine sports
therapist for the Original Herrmann's Royal Lipizzan Stallions of Austria, and
her active equine practice includes all disciplines of equestrian sport.
Her human practice, Shiatsu Therapy Treatment, consists of professional dancers, athletes, and business executives, and she collaborates with other health care professionals. She is promoted by medical insurance companies as a certified practitioner affiliated with their national health programs.
Among them, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim and United Healthcare. Karen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Boston Conservatory of Music and is a contralto with the Kings Chapel Choir. |

Karen is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), is
a certified practitioner with the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies
of Asia (AOBTA), and is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy
Association (AMTA). She is certified by Jack Meagher and Jo-Ann Wilson in the
Meagher Method of Sportsmassage for equines and humans.
